| WR&A’s Electrical Engineering group has extensive experience designing new facilities, renovating existing buildings, surveying and evaluating existing conditions, preparing energy analyses, designing energy saving retrofits, and complete design and detailing for construction drawings and specifications. With numerous projects, the electrical staff hones its experience through continuing education on the latest technologies and through participation in national associations and training programs.
Professional Engineers (PE) registered in many states, with memberships and affiliations to the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the Illumination Engineering Society of North America (IESNA), the Maryland Electrical League, the National Council on Qualifications for the Lighting Professions (NCQLP), the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE), and Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED).
Software and equipment to collect data, analyze, calculate and design systems for short-circuit and coordination study, arc flash, feeder analysis, generator sizing and lighting calculations, with Microstation, Microstation V8, AutoCAD, Revit, and Building Information Modeling (BIM) CADD support.
Diverse experience exemplified by myriad of projects and functions, including:
• Power distribution: medium and low voltage systems • Generators and paralleling switchgear • Protective relaying and metering • Medium voltage switchgear • Unit substations, switchboards and panelboards • Elementary control diagrams • Instrumentation, PLC and SCADA systems • Testing and analysis • Energy reduction • Grounding • Lighting: interior, exterior, roads/bridges, LED, custom luminaires and controls • Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) • Solar/photovoltaic power • Fire alarm • CCTV, CATV, security, telecommunication, paging, mass notification, and sound masking. • Construction cost estimation and life-cycle cost analysis
